What type of financial reports will my academy receive?
The finance team provides monthly budget reports to budget holders – detailing budgets, actual spend, and forecasts to ensure leaders have full financial clarity and control.
Whole school management accounts reports are provided at every month-end. These are analysed in conjunction with the business managers ready to present to senior management, and the local accountability board.
Fully customisable reports can be created upon request.
How does the finance team support purchasing for schools?
Through our digital process, we support colleagues in the input of order requisitions, and then handling supplier relations, from purchase order placement to invoice payment.
We ensure all transactions align with the approved budgets and Trust procurement policies.
Are there any upcoming improvements to finance processes?
We have recently moved to cloud-based accounting software which has improved our teams capacity to provide details customisable information.
We are also exploring the use of AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial transparency across the Trust.

We manage the end-to-end purchasing process - ensuring orders are aligned with approved budgets, and invoices are processed promptly and accurately. We also produce monthly budget reports to give schools full visibility of their financial activity.
Financial Management and Reporting
Our team oversees the monthly financial cycle, including the posting of prepayments, income, and expenditure accruals. We provide detailed and accurate monthly reports to keep academy leaders informed and compliant.
Capital Project Management
Initial funding to final spend, we help schools manage capital budgets responsibly. Our tracking ensures that projects stay on budget and meet the financial standards expected within the Trust.
Staff Costs Analysis and Forecasting
Staff costs are the most significant part of any school’s budget. We track and analyse payroll expenses to help academies manage staffing budgets effectively. Our forecasts support long-term planning and ensure that every staffing decision is financially sustainable
