Rajinder graduated from Bournemouth University in 1999 after gaining a degree in Business Studies, with a focus on Human Resource Management in her final year.

Having moved to Leeds from Trowbridge in 2005, Rajinder began her career at the NHS as a Recruitment Assistant, and then on to a lengthy career of 15 years at Leeds City Council. Rajinder worked across many different service areas including legal, advertising, recruitment, payroll. In 2015 Rajinder acted as Change and Communication Officer that was tasked with implementing HR Self service to over 10,000 users across the authority, the completion of which progressed her to lead projects in finance, lettings, and fleet services.

Rajinder then returned to HR and payroll administration in 2017, managing different teams within the service. During this time Rajinder also undertook her CIPD Level 7 (MA HRM) and completed this qualification in November 2020 with a Distinction.

Rajinder joined the White Rose Academies Trust in August 2021 as a Senior HR Business Partner and now manages the HR team. As a member of the Central Trust Executive Team, Rajinder is responsible for providing strategic leadership in all people management and human resources compliance related matters, including safeguarding.

Rajinder is responsible for the management and delivery of all Human Resources services to the trust including strategy and policy, employee relations, pay and benefits, recruitment, selection, and onboarding, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, as well as day to day performance including leadership and development of the human resources team.
