We are incredibly proud to work with SNAPS Yorkshire and welcome them as a member of the Leeds Community Support Group.
SNAPS is a Leeds based charity that supports children with additional needs and their families. They aim to improve physical and mental wellbeing by providing crucial physiotherapy for children which dramatically improves their lives and future outcomes. SNAPS helps children meet milestones others take for granted such as walking or sitting unaided and gives families the chance to take part in activities together. Activities such as music therapy, dance, sing and sign, sensory activities, football sessions, swimming lessons and free play in a safe environment.
Each week, families meet other families who understand their situation and can share information, ideas and experiences. The relationships that are formed through their services can go on for many years outside of SNAPS offering vital support in a world where families can feel utterly alone.
SNAPS aims to make life happier for the children and parents that we work with, allowing them to develop physically and emotionally and make fabulous fun memories together as a family unit. This is what some of them said about their services:
“It’s our absolute lifeline.”
“SNAPS has been there when we had no other help. They are all amazing.”
“Coming to SNAPS has had a positive impact for our whole family and we are forever grateful.”
