We are incredibly proud to work with Behind Closed Doors and welcome them as a member of the Leeds Community Support Group.
Behind Closed Doors (BCD) was established in Otley, a North West suburb of Leeds, in 1997 by a group of local women, with personal and professional experience of domestic violence and abuse (DV&A).
BCD offers support across the Metropolitan district of Leeds. Their mission is clear and emphatic, with three aims being the cornerstone of Behind Closed Doors’ ethos:
To support people in Leeds, whose lives are affected by domestic abuse.
To offer support services both remotely and by community-based outreach, providing practical and emotional support, advocacy and information.
To empower individuals to make informed choices about their lives, that will have a positive immediate and future impact.
