George will be working closely with the Executive Principal and the Head of Communications and Projects, as a key member of the Central Trust team; read George's fourth blog below:

This half term has flown by and I have had many more exciting experiences that I will be sharing in this blog.

In my last blog I mentioned I was looking forward to a follow up meeting with the Leeds United Foundation at Elland Road, this follow up meeting occurred a few weeks ago and it was a fascinating experience. It was great to meet with the Chief Executive of the Leeds United Foundation along with the Head of Community Development to discuss an exciting project. The day itself was very interesting and it was great to be able to walk around Elland Road and see behind the scenes of a football club. Following the meeting we were given a tour of Elland Road which was brilliant. I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity to come to this meeting.

"I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to gain the Agile Project Management qualification!"

A week after the meeting at Elland Road we welcomed the Chief Executive and Head of Community Development at the Leeds United Foundation to view all three academies in one day. This was a great experience which allowed them to gain an insight into how each academy operates, it was also great to hear their positive feedback on each academy and our fantastic students.

At the end of October, we had a self-defence session for the Trust Student Leadership Group. It was great to see all of the students getting involved and enjoying themselves.

Earlier this month I attended a four-day Agile Project Management Course with Hannah that was very interesting and provided me with a solid understanding of the Agile Project Management practices. I passed the foundation qualification and I sat the final test on Tuesday 19th November and I PASSED! I am now an Agile certified Project Manager. I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to gain this qualification!

Since my last blog I have also continued working on the creation of the WRAT Alumni and this week I have been working on a potential visual for the structure of the website. I have also been contacting a number of businesses to try and receive discounts for our Alumni.

I am looking forward to working on my current projects and starting a new week!

It’s safe to say I’m really enjoying working for the Trust!
