Kate joined the White Rose Academies Trust in September 2022. Kate is responsible for supporting effective governance across the organisation and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and good practice guidance. Her role includes responsibility for clerking for the trust board and its committees and LABs (Local Accountability Boards). 

  

Kate is a chartered management accountant (CIMA) and has a degree in English from Leeds University. Kate began her career in the civil service working first for the Home Office before moving to the Department of Health where she was an internal auditor and trained for her accountancy qualification. Kate moved to Leeds where she continued her internal audit career at Jet2. For the last four years, Kate worked for a local multi-academy trust where she was responsible for delivering an internal audit service for over 10 local education trusts and advising on risk and internal control.
