Junior Creative Designer
Salary: £15,000 p.a. with an annual salary review linked to successful completion of previous years training, qualification and performance.

Qualification: Sponsored degree (part time over 4-6 years at York St John University) Travel expenses to university available.

Pre requisites: GCSE Grade C or higher in Maths and English. Post 16 Level 3 Qualifications (BTEC, A Levels). Enhanced DBS check

Sponsored degree: The successful applicant will be employed by The White Rose Academies Trust central team and will undertake a sponsored degree over 4-6 years with York St John University.


The application for the degree will go through UCAS and will be subject to the applicant meeting course requirements and a providing a suitable portfolio, which will be decided by the university. Therefore, employment with The White Rose Academies Trust will depend on the UCAS application being successful.


Areas of responsibility
A hands on role for a talented Digital Designer with an eye for brand, layout and typography, looking to build a career within an established team.


Working with/supporting the Creative Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of impactful communications to inspire and captivate our communities and stakeholders. A varied role which will include:

 

  • Social media/graphics/illustrators

  • Document layout and formatting, preparing print files and media

  • Physical and digital distribution

  • Promotional videos/multimedia

  • Ensuring brand accuracy

  • Media and advertising collateral

  • Web content

 

Person specification

 

  • Creative vision and a passion for design and UX

  • Knowledge and proven use of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Liaise where necessary with other internal departments to ensure that work meets requirements

  • Understanding of HTML and CSS (advantageous but not essential)
