Becoming a Fully Accredited Agile Project Manager

Hannah Moore, University Student, has joined The White Rose Academies Trust on her one year University Industrial Placement. Hannah will be working closely with the Executive Principal and the Head of Communications and Projects, as a key member of the Central Trust team; read Hannah's fifth blog below:

As we reach the end of half term 3, it is hard to believe how fast my time has gone so far as the Business and Marketing Officer. I have now been in my post for over 7 months, I find that reflecting on my time within the Trust makes me realise how far I have come professionally.

Within my Work Placement Module for University, I am required to submit several formal assessments throughout the year. Last week I submitted my first formal assessment; my reflective report was required to relate my university studies over my first and second year to my placement role. Writing my report gave me the chance to really drill down into tasks I have completed so far, I feel very fortunate to have had so many brilliant opportunities and experiences to develop and improve both my professional and personal skills. The ability to relate an operating business to the theories and concepts I have learnt at university will be extremely beneficial when I return to university in September.

"In my last blog I spoke of how I had been given the opportunity to attend an Agile Project Management Course, I am thrilled to have passed the course and I am now a fully accredited in Agile Project Management!"

Over the past months I have been working, along with the Projects Team, on a new Trust-wide recruitment pack which will be launching in the coming weeks. This is a project that we started from scratch, we needed to collate information about the individual academies, the Trust and the wider Group. I have found it extremely rewarding to work on a project from its infancy to now it being close to the launch.

In the Projects Team we work closely with the Trust Student Leadership Group to deliver exciting and engaging sessions to the students over the course of the year. Along with other members of the team, we delivered a presentation to the students on the opportunities over the coming year. We discussed how we can support charities with different fundraising ideas, along with the news that the group will be attending a trip to London in March. It was wonderful to see the excitement amongst the students about this trip where we will see a West End Show, visit the Houses of Parliament and many other activities.

In my last blog I spoke of how I had been given the opportunity to attend an Agile Project Management Course, I am thrilled to have passed the course and I am now a fully accredited in Agile Project Management! I am very excited to see where my new skills will take me and to apply these tools in the future!
