Recently, the Trust Student Leadership Group took part in an activity session with local Leeds artist, Burley Banksy.
Held at Leeds City Academy, students from ATP, LCA, LEA and LWA all got involved. During the session, the group had a go at creating their own murals and art pieces too.
The Trust Student Leadership Group, which is made up of 24 students from across our Trust, is reserved for those students who not only epitomise our values, but who are also assessed as having the potential to be transformational leaders of the future.
It was and, continues to be, wonderful to see to see this group of students come together and create friendships across the Trust.
Burley Banksy (Andy McVeigh) is a Leeds street artist who started out as a primary school teacher and turned to painting murals and local street art to help him in a tough time in his life. He inspires many people with his art and has even worked in collaboration with Leeds United.
We would like to thank Burley Banksy for taking the time to offer a truly inspirational workshop for our students!
