Hours:                         37 hours per week, term time only plus 20 days 

Accountable to:       Assistant Principal – Behaviour and Attitudes


This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Leeds City Academy, one of the most rapidly improving schools within the Leeds area and county of West Yorkshire. We are an 11-16 academy and one of four schools within White Rose Academies Trust, a trust recognised nationally for its ground-breaking and transformational impact on the lives of the young people it serves. The academy had a Section 5 Inspection in May 2019 achieving an overall Good judgement with Leadership and Management judged as Outstanding

Role:


This role provides an opportunity for an exceptional candidate to train to become a Student Support Worker at Leeds City Academy.


You will benefit from being able to undertake on the job training, mentoring and an appropriate qualification for the role to further develop their skills and attributes to become a successful Student Support Worker and enabling them to.

 

o   Provide academic, behaviour and well-being support for students at Leeds City Academy based on skills, knowledge and experience.

o   Work with key colleagues to lead and support students as they work in the academy’s key inclusion provisions.

o   Provide supervision and support of students across the academy day.

o   Enhance the trust relationship with Catch charity through student development and programmes of work.


You will provide a range of support for students and will be deployed across different areas of the school in response to the need and priorities for students.
