Core Purpose of the Principal:
The Principal is accountable for all aspects of the educational outcomes and welfare of students within the school, being responsible overall for ensuring educational success within the wider framework of relevant national legislation, best practice and the values and vision of the school.
In selecting a Principal for this career defining role, we are looking for an outstanding leader who is able to articulate a vision for the school and who will inspire and empower others to share in the achievement of this vision. The successful candidate will be driven by a commitment to create the best educational opportunities for young people, to raise aspirations and transform lives.
Overall purpose of the post of Principal:
In line with, and building on the Trust’s vision, the Principal will:
Lead by example, articulating clear values and moral purpose, and focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils.
Be committed to supporting each child through their learning journey from 3 - 11 and beyond.
Develop positive external relationships at a local and strategic level, in partnership with the Trust and others, to promote the continued development of the school, as a central resource for the community.
Develop a high-quality curriculum comprised of academic excellence and vocational creativity.
Create an ethos within which all staff are motivated and supported to develop their skills and knowledge.
Be a role model for all in our community.
To create and manage a complex institution.
To recognise and develop sustainable commercial opportunities.
