Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team. The role of Careers Education, Information and Guidance Manager will focus on engaging and supporting pupils with their next steps, ensuring that all students have access to high quality careers information and guidance. You will deliver a high standard work experience program for every student organising the securing of alternative curriculum and vocational opportunities in learning, motivational and inclusion contexts in the 14-16 phase.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement practices that reflect the academy’s commitment to improving behaviour and attendance using restorative practice

  • To plan, implement and evaluate provision and practice in relation to CEIAG, with the active participation of staff, students and other contributors.

  • To provide written reports on the quality and impact of CEIAG, supported by a current policy and strategic development plan.

  • To hold regular meetings with staff and major contributors within CEIAG, and keep appropriate records of such meetings including with the Link LAB member for CEIAG

  • To identify sources of funding for CEIAG and writing bids.

  • To liaise with Senior and Curriculum Leaders to develop and promote suitable resources to link CEIAG to all curriculum areas.

  • To deliver a programme of one to one careers interviews to help students make informed, realistic choices about future education, training and employment.

  • To manage and coordinate regular visits from INTO University, Ahead Partnership and Leeds City College

  • To maintain dedicated areas with up-to-date and well-organised resources, including computer based careers information.
