Kate is Leeds born and bred. She is a Clinical Psychologist who spent the the first 18 years of her career working locally, with 5 years spent leading Psychology and Counselling services for adults in West Leeds, including Bramley and Rodley.
For the last 16 years Kate has worked as a Leadership Development Consultant specialising in behaviour change, supporting leaders across a wide range of organisations, both in the public and private sectors, in the UK and abroad. She uses skills drawn from the psychotherapies, neuroscience and leadership theory when working with individuals, groups, teams and Boards to improve their leadership effectiveness.
Kate has experience in the FE sector, having worked with the leadership of a number of colleges and college groups. Most recently she has developed specialism in governance, supporting public sector Boards. She has been the Chair of Leeds Jewish Housing Association since 2014.
Kate is delighted to be part of the WRAT family, especially back in West Leeds at Leeds West Academy. She is enthused by the innovative and dedicated approaches to developing young people that the WRAT philosophy brings and looks forward to a long and successful association with all at Leeds West Academy.
Kate is married with a grown up son.
