Jeanne Rogers has worked with children and young people for over 30 years. Beginning her career in Children’s Centres in East Leeds, she then went on to teach students that aspired to be childcare practitioners. Jeanne started teaching at Croydon College, before moving back to the North and working for Leeds City College in 1999. She is now the Group Vice Principal for Quality Teaching and Learning and has the pleasure of working between the colleges and the White Rose Academies Trust, within Luminate Education Group.
Jeanne has an MSc in Leadership and Management which sparked her passion for working with people to bring about change and innovation. Jeanne spent three years in governance at Leeds West Academy and is now Vice-Chair at Leeds East Academy; an area of the city that she feels strongly connected to. Every day in education presents new challenges and opportunities and there is no greater feeling than being with teachers and young people who are enthused about the learning experiences on offer. Working across the Group broadens the potential to collaborate and combine our efforts to maximise the potential of the young people and communities we have the privilege to work with.
Away from work, Jeanne lives with her wife and daughter and loves spending time with friends and family. Jeanne is just starting her parkrun journey and not quite at the point where she could describe it as enjoyable #redfacedkeeptrying
