The White Rose Academies Trust

Our philosophy is that the early years of teaching within The White Rose Academies Trust demonstrates a clear investment in our beginner teachers, as we foster the thirst for success by giving a high-quality and bespoke training offer.

We offer opportunities such as outstanding CPD, creating lifelong links with colleagues, exceptional mentoring and action-based training which will create outstanding teachers who are retained for years to come; making a positive impact on every young person.

The White Rose Academies Trust works with GORSE, the most successful multi academy trust in the North of England, for most of our routes into teaching. The school centred initial teacher programme (SCITT) enables you to train to become a teacher in what we believe is the most effective and appropriate way. You will spend a large percentage of time completing 'on the job' training, in different schools enabling you to get an insight into numerous different education contexts. You will be educated through weekly training sessions which are delivered by practicing teachers and give you numerous opportunities to apply to the lessons that you will be delivering. In addition, we also host PGCE students from the University of Huddersfield and Leeds Trinity University and Apprentice Teachers taught at University Centre at Leeds City College.
