Joanna joined the White Rose Academies Trust HR Team in October 2021 and is responsible for supporting the academies and central trust team with recruitment, absence, contracts and payroll changes.
Prior to joining the trust, Joanna was a Senior Resourcing Assistant in the West Yorkshire Police HR Team. Mainly responsible for the training, supporting, and leading a team of resource assistants within the recruitment process for police officers, transferees, special constables, police community support officers, contact and detention officers.
Joanna was previously a team manager at British Gas for 24.5 years and was responsible for a team of advisors, ensuring they met business key performance indicators (KPI’s), supporting their welfare and development and also managing the quality and performance of advisors across multiple workflows to ensure delivery of excellent customer service. With extensive experience in leadership, coaching, recruitment, working to targets and implementing change management whilst working in various managerial roles, Joanna enjoys working both as part of team or independently, with a focus on delivering quality results.
Joanna is married with 2 children; her son is just starting his career as a secondary school teacher and her daughter is in her final year at university studying to become a primary teacher. Outside of work Joanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
